What Is OEM Integration?
OEM integration is when a temperature sensor is included within a manufactured product, rather than being bought to measure a manufacturing process. OEM stands for an original equipment manufacturer. Temperature sensors for OEM integration are part of the equipment manufacturers’ product. For example, a manufacturer who is making a piece of instrumentation needs to measure the temperature within the instrument. A temperature sensor will be integrated into that product and will be specifically designed for that product. Temperature sensors suitable for OEM integration are often small, used within normal operating temperatures, and are designed to last a long time.
