Quality Engineer

Position title: Quality Engineer

Hour requirements:

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Thursday 9 am – 5 pm
  • Friday 9 am – 4 pm

Due to the continued growth of Peak Sensors we are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join the business.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality are maintained and developed. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background with strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset towards continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality standards to ensure manufactured goods conform to customer requirements
  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials to ensure compliance
  • Verify product dimensions and conduct visual inspections for defects or irregularities
  • Develop and/or implement quality control systems
  • Collaborate with auditors to demonstrate adherence to quality standards and regulations
  • Document non-conformities and track corrective actions to resolution
  • Develop corrective actions, solutions and improvements
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
  • Review production processes with production to identify opportunities for quality improvement
  • Be part of the internal audit team to ensure compliance to ISO9001

Experience and Skills:

  • Engineering experience preferred, but not essential
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Auditing skills (desirable)
  • Knowledge of root-cause analysis (desirable)
