Cable Resistance Thermometers
Common Cable RTD Designs
Special Options
All our cable resistance thermometers are custom made, as such we are able to tailor your sensors exactly to your requirements. There are many options available including:
Element Options
Pt100 B as standard with Pt100 A, 1/3,1/5,1/10 DIN, Pt 50, Pt 500, Pt 1000 sensor and Pt 2000 available on request.
Plugs or Sockets
Either standard or miniature plugs and sockets can be attached instead of tails.
Calibration
UKAS accredited calibration is available. AMS 2750 F to full or traceable calibration is available.
Overbraid
The cable thermocouples cab be stainless steel or tinned copper over-braided for extra toughness.
Material Certificates
Material certificates are available on request.
Tagging
Your own serial, product number or other information attached to sensors via heat shrink cable or metal tags.
High Temperature Versions
High temperature options for plugs, sockets and cable can be supplied.
Duplex
Resistance thermometers can be supplied duplex instead of simplex.
Wire Configuration
3 wire as standard, marked red/red/white, with 2 or 4 wires on request.
IP68 compatible
Cable thermocouples can be IP68 compatible so they are rated as “dust tight” and protected against complete, continuous submersion in water.
Element Options
Pt100 B as standard with Pt100 A, 1/3,1/5,1/10 DIN, Pt 50, Pt 500, Pt 1000 and Pt 2000 available on request.
Process Fittings
Flange or compression fittings can be added such as an adjustable or welded flange on shank.
Platinum Resistance Thermometers
We manufacture and design cable resistance thermometers, often called cable RTD Pt100 sensor, cable Pt100, Pt 100 sensors or Pt 100 thermocouples. Cable resistance thermometers are very cost-effective for temperature measurements below 260°C, although some designs are good up to 500°C. The construction of a cable resistance thermometer consists of a RTD element, often a Pt100 securely attached to a length of cable. The Pt100 element can then be protected in a number of ways and designed to get the best measurement from your process. The maximum temperature for a cable resistance thermometer is determined by its insulation but there are high-temperature options such as glass fibre if required.
